Basic over-the-counter medication, snacks, cold drinks, liquor and bottled water
are available at the shops in the rest camps.
Travel
- A maximum of 6 people per group will travel in an air-conditioned microbus or equivalent vehicle.

- Night drives in the National Parks and game drives in private lodges
are guided by experienced rangers in open game viewing vehicles.
Malaria
- The Kruger Park Area and KwaZulu-Natal are malaria areas and visitors are strongly advised to take anti- malarial treatment prior to and during your visit.
Insurance
- Travellers should take out personal comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, curtailment, illness, accident, and emergency medical treatment and travel. All risk insurance on cameras, binoculars and other personal effects is also recommended.
What to bring
- Comfortable lightweight clothing - shirts, shorts and trousers. Nylon type fabrics are not recommended, as they are hot.
- Comfortable walking shoes.

- Warm jacket or similar for night drives.
- Sunblock, sunglasses and hat.
- Insect repellent.
- Prescription medicines plus a copy of your prescription.
- A spare pair of prescription spectacles or contact lenses, plus a copy of the prescription.
- Allergy medication if required.
- Copies of passport and travel documents, tickets etc to be lodged with your hosts.
Safety
- We have much experience in travelling in Southern Africa and your safety is of prime importance to us. We ensure that we all take sensible precautions and we brief you on the start of and during your tour with us as we move through the different areas. We hold Professional Driving Permits.
